Narwal Robot Vacuum and Mop

A relative newcomer to the robotic vacuum market, Narwal offers a sweeping and mopping hybrid that's pretty impressive. It's expensive and hampered by a cumbersome, slow learning-curve app.

To mop, you place an ointment sheet into the base station's water tank that is clean. Then, it uses clean water to wand the pads and scrub floors using 10N pressure.

Features

The Narwal T10 is a combination robot vacuum and mop that is able to sweep clean, scrub, and scrub hard floors. Its smart navigation and Narwal Robot Vacuum mapping system is built on simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) technology. It also features anti-collision and cliff sensing technologies, which help to prevent the machine from colliding into furniture or falling down the stairs. It can also identify and avoid rugs. This is a typical issue for many robot vacuums, mops and hybrids.

The i robot vacuum has two huge water tanks: one to keep clean and another for dirty. Prior to a mopping cycle, it automatically goes to its base station, where it soaks its pads in clean water from the tank. During the mopping cycle sensors will notify you when it's time to change out the pads and refill the water. It uses 16 ounces, which is less water than the majority of robots.

The T10 will automatically dry the pads after you've cleaned them. This prevents cross-contamination. It then resumes mopping where it left off. This process removes the necessity of washing your hands manually, which is great because it protects you from bacteria and allergens. This feature is exclusive to Narwal. The majority of robot vac/mop hybrids simply dip their mop heads in buckets of dirty sand.

The T10's mopping function is driven by a motor that rotates the pad three times per second. This allows for a more thorough clean, especially in corners and around edges. The rotating pad is coupled with dual side brushes to clean hair, dirt and debris into the vacuum slot. This eliminates the dust bin and is greener than traditional cleaning.

You can draw an outline of your space and then designate specific areas to sweep or mop. You can also select the cleaning intensity that you want, for example, a deep clean that eliminates dirt and debris for an efficient job. You can also create "no-go" zones, which tell the robot to stay clear of area rug or other obstacles.

Design

Robot vacuums can help keep your home clean, tidy and orderly. They are able to reach and clean places that traditional vacuums cannot be able to, such as under furniture. As with most robotic vacuums the Narwal T10 can be controlled via the narwal app or using voice commands. The Narwal T10 features a small LED screen which shows the current status. Two buttons that are touch-sensitive are on either side of the vacuum. These buttons control docking, creating maps, starting and stopping. The app lets you adjust your cleaning settings and arrange scheduled mopping.

It also has a switch to switch between mopping and vacuuming modes. This is useful if you have dirty floors and require cleaning them fast. It is equipped with an 1800-pa motor that's adept at sucking up dirt however, it isn't able to remove dust from carpets and rug.

Performance

The Narwal Freo is a marvellous tool for cleaning hard floors. Its huge water tanks are easy to maintain and it comes with a variety of mopping intensities. It also has the ability to clean up small spills and messes on carpet. The vacuuming capabilities aren't quite as impressive, however. Its suction power of 1,800Pa is less than expensive robo-vacuums, like the Roborock S6 MaxV Ultra.

Smart technology for navigation and mapping allows the Freo to adapt to an area and plan a cleaning routine that is optimized. It utilizes simultaneous mapping and localization (SLAM) in order to create an area map and then work in a zigzag fashion so as to avoid cross-contamination and provide a uniform finish. It is then able to share this map through the narwal application, so you can modify cleaning settings and set no-go zones to keep it from mopping or vacuuming certain areas.

Once it's identified once it's mapped, once it's mapped, the Freo can then automatically begin cleaning right where it left off. The mops themselves clean, and they return to their docks after each use for washing and drying. This reduces time and keeps hands free from dirt and allergens. The Freo also conserves water by only using 16 ounces of water for each mopping cycle, which is roughly the same amount as you'd find in a large-sized coffee cup.

This robot can effortlessly switch between mopping and vacuuming. It's a great option for those who have both types of equipment in their home. Its sweeping skills are excellent, and it does a great job of removing dust, pet hair and other debris. Dual side brushes on the Freo allows it to reach corners better than single-brush vacuums. Its cliff-sensing, anti-collision and anti-stuck functions also help it avoid getting stuck or hitting furniture.

The Narwal T10 is more expensive than most of its competitors and is still a reliable vacuum/mop unit. Its base station is home to two 1.3 gallon tanks, which require frequent refilling. This can be annoying, especially if you're used to the faster-filling tank designs of other robots. The app is messy and uninspiring, and lacks the customization features you'd expect from a robot that costs more.

App

The Narwal robot mop and vacuum is an exceptional machine among the many all-in-one robovacs and mops that exist. The T10 is a self-cleaning machine that was designed from the ground-up. While some models offer superior mopping capabilities, with a vacuuming function added on, it was specifically designed to be a self cleaning two-in-one machine. Its mopping and sweeping capabilities are extremely efficient and are easily controlled via the narwal app but it also has buttons on its base station that allow manual optimization mid-cleaning session.

The Narwal robot is powered by Lidar, SLAM and SLAM technologies. This makes it one of the most intelligent cleaning machines. It makes use of its sensors to map out your home and then converts that information into a precise cleaning plan for your floors. This is a great feature because it allows the T10 to stay out of the way in your home and to track what it's doing.
